Use as a Literacy task – Students are given the letter blends
and word endings to place together . Their goal could be to create ‘real’ or ‘nonsense’ words. Students need to differentiate between the two types of words. Encourage students to find the meanings of the words they create in order to help them identify if they are ‘real’ or ‘nonsense’ words and record their findings in the table provided.
